Usually cataphoretic means "painting by cataphoretic procedures", a painting treatment that gives alloys, steel or iron elements resistance to corrosion. During the process an epoxy or acrylic resin is deposited on the surface, followed by a final painting. The acrylic resin compared to the epoxy resin is more resistant to atmospheric agents.
